This 9-day Rwenzori trek begins with a briefing at base camp (1,450m) and a climb to Sine Camp (2,596m). Day 2 reaches Mutinda Camp (3,588m) with an optional hike to Mutinda Lookout (3,975m).
Day 3 continues to Bugata Camp (4,100m), then to Hunwick’s Camp (3,974m) via Bamwanjara Pass (4,450m). Day 5 goes to Margherita Camp (4,485m) through Lake Kitandara.
Day 6 summits Margherita Peak (5,109m) before descending to Bujuku Caves. Day 7 climbs Mt Speke (4,890m).
The trek then descends through Kiharo Camp (3,640m) and finishes at base camp with forest trails, rivers, and scenic valleys.

Start the trek at the base camp at 1,450 meters and hike through mountain forest to Sine Camp at 2,596 meters.
Climb to Mutinda Camp at 3,588 meters and hike to Mutinda Lookout at about 3,975 meters for wide views and better acclimatization.
Walk through valleys with unique alpine plants, streams, and waterfalls on the way to Bugata Camp at 4,100 meters.
Cross steep ridges, muddy trails, and boggy sections as you climb higher into the Rwenzori Mountains.
Pass Bamwanjara Pass at about 4,450 meters with views of the main Rwenzori peaks.
Visit Lake Kitandara and climb Scott Elliot Pass on the way to Margherita Camp at 4,485 meters.
Summit Margherita Peak at 5,109 meters on Mount Stanley, the highest point in the Rwenzori Mountains.
Walk across glaciers and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
Summit Mount Speke at about 4,890 meters and return to Hunwick’s Camp.
Cross Oliver’s Pass and descend to Kiharo Camp set in a deep valley with cliffs and thick vegetation.
Walk downhill along rivers, moss covered rocks, and forest trails back to the base camp in Kilembe.
