Rock Climbing on Mt Kenya via the North Face route is an advanced technical climb to Batian peak (5,199m), the highest point in Kenya. It is for experienced climbers with rock climbing skills. The trek starts from Nairobi to Mt Kenya Bandas through Chogoria gate, then continues to Lake Ellis campsite and Minto’s camp with views of valleys. The climb goes on to Shipton camp after passing Lenana point (4,985m). Rock climbing day starts early with ascent to Batian peak (5,199m), then return to Shipton camp. The trek continues with descent to Old Moses camp and exit via Sirimon gate back to Nairobi.
