The Sasa Trail is the fastest route to Wagagai Peak (4,321m) in Mount Elgon. This 4-Day Sasa Trail Trek passes through villages, farms, montane forest, bamboo zone, and heathlands. Hikers see waterfalls, rivers, birds, and valley views. The trek starts at the trailhead and goes to Sasa River Camp, then Mude Cave Camp. On day three, hikers summit Wagagai Peak, pass Jackson’s Pool and Masaba Summit, then descend to Hunwick’s Camp. The trek ends with a descent to base camp near Dirigana River and Nabunyifu Falls. The trek includes guides, porters, meals, and hut accommodation.
