The 3-Day Rwenzori Tour starts at Trekkers Hostel Kyanjuki, 12 km from Kasese town near Kilembe copper mines. After a briefing with guides, hikers walk 2.2 km to the UWA ranger post at 1,727 meters. Day 1 is a hike through Afro Montane forest to Sine Camp at 2,596 meters with birds, blue monkeys, and Enock’s Falls. Day 2 continues through bamboo forest and the heather zone to Samalira Camp at 3,170 meters, passing Kalalama Camp and lobelia plants. Hikers may see the Rwenzori Turaco and Malachite Sunbird. Day 3 is a descent through bamboo forest and montane forest along the Nyamwamba River back to basecamp.

Reach Kalalama Camp with views of the valleys and Lake George in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Walk through the Heather Zone with tall heather trees and lobelia plants.
Reach Samalira Camp at 3,170 meters with wide views of the surrounding valleys.
Descend through bamboo forest and Afro Montane forest with birds and primates.
Follow the trail near the Nyamwamba River before returning to the park entrance and basecamp.
