The 2-Day Sasa Trail Trek in Mount Elgon National Park takes you through forest, rivers, and waterfalls. The trek starts from base camp above Bugiboni after briefing at Budadiri UWA office. Day one follows the Dirigana River, crossing below Nabunyifu Falls (61m), then climbs through montane forest to Mukoola Ridge and Hunwick’s Camp (2,882m), with views of valleys and Mbale town. Day two descends through the forest, following the river with small waterfalls and rapids, then returns past the falls to base camp. The trek offers views of communities, valleys, and vegetation in Mount Elgon.
